About Mad Bird Design

Mad Bird Design principals Michele and Patrick Neary have collaborated for 15 years as a creative team. Combining our skill set is efficient and productive – our clients benefit from professional in-house custom graphics, photography, video production and document design capabilities. So it made a lot of sense to begin the new decade in 2010 by joining forces under one company name, and Mad Bird Design took flight.

PRINT & WEB DESIGN Portfolios

Michele Neary, Principal/Owner of Mad Bird Design, is a communications professional accomplished in both print and online publishing. Combining an editor’s attention to detail with an aptitude for creating elegant and visually appealing designs, Michele has developed an array of high-quality printed materials for business, public sector and nonprofit clients: reports, books, newsletters, posters, displays, multi-media presentations, brochures, flyers, calendars, postcards, stationary and business cards, logos/branding materials, graphic illustrations and maps.

Michele has also designed and launched dozens of websites, e-newsletters, and online surveys to brand and publicize businesses, projects, initiatives and activities, connect with target audiences, provide up-to-date information, tap into social networks, and gather feedback. Michele provides personal assistance to clients throughout the design process, from initial planning through launch and updates: clarifying goals; editing content; designing website templates and pages; establishing domain name registration and site hosting; setting up e-mail accounts, listserv and e-newsletter subscriptions; utilizing social networking sites; tracking visitor statistics; implementing tools for search engine optimization; and training client staff to use content management systems for website updates.

Michele’s related marketing experience includes coordinating the Hillsboro 2020 Vision Town Hall, for which she produced event materials, tradeshow displays, television advertising, video slide shows, and a PowerPoint presentation with interactive audience polling. She has assisted public agency, nonprofit and business clients to prepare an array professional promotional materials and deliverables – including websites, proposals, reports, brochures, videos and PowerPoint presentations. Michele has contributed to several nationally and internationally recognized communication projects, including Hillsboro 2020 Vision, Beaverton Community Vision, Grays Harbor 2020 Vision and Action Plan, Lewis & Clark Bicentennial in Oregon, and award-winning public education projects for the Cities of Portland and Salem.
